Job Details Description for Director of End User Compute

  • Manage day-to-day activities of the IT Endpoint Administrators assigned to their functional area.
  • Conduct stand-up meetings and manage workloads of the team.
  • Evaluate industry trends and the product landscape to determine how they apply to the end-user computing experience.
  • Develop, maintain, and communicate end-user PC upgrades and patching roadmap (life-cycle).
  • Serve as an escalation point for and communicates with cross-functional teams, and provides updates, and root cause analysis to executive management in support of the continuous improvement initiatives through quantitative metrics.
  • Design, document, and refine PC build and application packaging operational processes and strategy.
  • Ensure the successful and continued operation of the company’s endpoints:
  • Administering Mac workstations via an enterprise product.
  • Security policy enforcement.
  • Application deployments.
  • Inventory management.
  • Deploying security patches to Windows workstations.
  • Deploying applications to Windows workstations.
  • Maintain and administer tier2 support on mobile workstation backup platform.
  • Report/trend analysis of IT issues, problems, and potential risks.
  • Develop and maintain an MDM Solution strategy.
  • Demonstrates ability to develop the skills of others. Identifies and responds to development/coaching needs of all personnel.
  • Keeps himself/herself updated on the latest IT technologies, trends, and developments.
  • Work independently and maintains a high degree of professional conduct at all times. Exhibits leadership qualities in daily responsibilities.
  • Perform related duties as assigned and unrelated duties as requested.

Required Qualifications:

  • Degree in Information Systems/Computer Science or business.
  • Computer-related courses at a certified career institution.
  • Ability to think strategically while switching between long-term and short-term perspectives.
  • Experience with dealing with IT suppliers including contract negotiation and performance management.
  • Experience leveraging products such as SCCM, Tanium, JAMF, or other platforms to manage workstations in a medium to the large enterprise environment.
  • 3 years of Microsoft Active Directory administration experience.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years supporting macOS devices in an enterprise environment.
  • Detail-oriented, with a focus on high quality and customer support.
  • Experience with ITIL service management framework.
  • Strong understanding of desktop technologies, end-user productivity applications, unified communications, virtualization, and collaboration services.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, ability to provide direction, constructive feedback, and employee counseling when necessary.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and multi-task.
