Position Title: Manager, AV Programming & Development Classification: Exempt

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Manager, AV Programming & Development creates programs for enterprise customers to provide them with seamless integration to their audiovisual equipment. The Manager, AV Programming & Development position is responsible for managing, developing, and supporting Level I, II, and III Programmers, as well as Commissioning Specialist. The Manager, Audio Visual Programming & Development position reports directly to the Director of Operations.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Required to prepare for, participate in and contribute to Audio Visual Strategic Planning Sessions
  • Act as a Functional Manager of Audio-Visual Programming and Commissioning Team
  • Work with design team to develop and maintain repeatable, proprietary programming and interface packages, software libraries and modules
  • Gather programming requirements and understanding what is required
  • Proofing design and assisting in any adjustments that may be needed for a functional system.
  • Read and interpret AV systems drawings (CAD)
  • Script and code using LUA Java and/or Python
  • Design and development of custom graphical user interface (GUI) on control system touch panels
  • Configure and commission Crestron, Extron, RGB Spectrum, and other video switching processing systems
  • Configure and commission Crestron, Biamp & QSC Digital Signal Processors (DSP’s)
  • Integrate Cisco VTC Systems and other software-based conferencing solutions
  • Develop systems integration programs for Crestron and Extron system in multi-security level environments
  • Setup of Dante networks
  • Ability to coordinate the creation and integration of A/V control system programs onsite, offsite, and remotely in physical systems
  • Perform commissioning and acceptance testing of code
  • Test integrated systems and perform troubleshooting and remediation on complex AV systems
  • Creation of technical manuals and documentation
  • Ability to demonstrate completed system to client
  • Ability to work and think independently while meeting deadlines
  • Ability to balance multiple tasks with changing priorities

  • Experience with control systems, videoconferencing, switching hardware, audio DSP setup and calibration
  • Knowledge of networking fundamentals such as: TCP/IP addressing, firewalls, routers, VLANs, and VPN
  • Ability to mentor and support Mid-Level programmers
  • Experience with interface (GUI) design and graphics applications
  • Certified in the following: Crestron, Extron, Biamp, and QSC Level 2

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:

  • 10+ years of programming experience
  • 5+ years of Audio Visual supervisory and/or management experience
  • Associates Degree or equivalent required
